Support for caregivers navigating uncertainty together.
Empower offers caregivers a place to exhale, be honest, and gather practical support alongside others who understand the weight of what they're carrying.
Caregiver-first programming
Empower centers emotional support, practical guidance, and gentle connection for the people showing up every day.
Community circles
Guided gatherings for reflection, storytelling, and conversations that make room for the real emotional load of caregiving.
Practical support
Resource sharing, next-step planning, and take-home tools that can make day-to-day care feel a little more sustainable.
A softer landing place
Empower is built for caregivers who need a place where they don't have to stay composed the whole time.
Tools that support the conversations happening in the room.
Each resource spotlight pairs a live conversation with something practical caregivers can return to later—whether that's a guide, reflection prompt, or small planning tool.
Conversation starters for hard days
Guided prompts to help caregivers talk with teens, siblings, and other loved ones when emotions are running high.
Respite and support planning
Simple tools for mapping who can help, where to ask, and how to create small windows of rest.
Grounding practices you can actually use
Short reflection and regulation practices that can fit into real caregiving schedules, not ideal ones.
Encouragement from Empower
“Empower gave me a place to be honest without having to protect everyone else from how tired I felt.”
“I left each circle with practical ideas and the reminder that I wasn’t carrying this by myself.”
“The conversations were gentle, real, and exactly what I needed after months of trying to stay strong for everyone else.”
Common questions about joining Empower
If you're wondering how this works, you're not alone. These are the questions we hear most often.
How can I get involved if I'm new to RYI?
Start with the form below and share a little about what support feels most helpful right now. We'll recommend a next step that feels manageable.
Is childcare available for in-person gatherings?
When childcare is available, we note it in advance and help families reserve spots early so the plan feels clear before they arrive.
Is there a cost to join Empower?
No. Empower is offered at no cost thanks to donors, sponsors, and volunteers who believe caregivers deserve support too.
Who leads Empower sessions?
Sessions are guided by trained facilitators and guest supporters who know how to hold space with warmth, structure, and respect for each family's experience.
What if my teen or family feels hesitant about joining?
That's completely okay. We can talk through what the first session looks like, answer questions, and help you decide when the timing feels right.
